The company is very healthy financially and has around 100 employees on payroll. They have successfully processed many GCs for the existing employees in the last 3 years. The irony is one of my friends that filed with me on the same advertisement and profile got his GC 18 months ago!!

I am planning for my visa in Jan at Mumbai consulate. I do not have any relatives in either mumbai/pune who can submit my documents 3 days before the appointment.

Has anyone faced this issue? I have sent them an email asking if I can mail the documents to them. Lets see what they reply. Does anyone has experience what to do in situation like this?

hahaha! lost this was by accident too! see i had to do an interview for a school so i was all dressed up, so i posed like a weather man for a pic....so i went to Weather.com and got a local map that i was going to use to put behind me. well the extract tool didnt do exactly what i wanted cause i had never used it, so i did it like a quick mask. so in the end of the filter it ended up making it like all 'rough' on the edges. so i brought the map in....scaled it to size on the screen (i sized it to the whole screen. oh by the way, after i imported the pic onto the new doc.,i difference clouded it).so after all that i put difference clouds on the map too. i changed the layer blend to color blend and vola. it looks cool w/burn too. i have been playing around ALOT w/it. i think it is a big step for me! :beam:

There are several instances when a denial notice was sent, but the website continued to show the status as pending.

So if a denial letter has been received, then the website status means nothing.

It might be difficult to switch to F1 from H1, especially after getting into the greencard process. Since the F1 visa is a non-immigrant type, you might need to demonstrate that you have no intention to immigrate.

Alternatively you could do the part time MBA on H1, if your employer is supportive of that. Full time MBA on an H1 could be dicey. You need to find out if it is doable with EAD status.

I sent my EAD extension documents on 7/9 via FedEx to Nebraska. They recvd it on 7/11 morning and got signature proof. Can you please let me know how many days it take for the check to be encashed? This will be helpful. Thanks!!

For private courier (non usps deliveries) there is different address please see in the Instruction on completing I-765 form on USCIS website.

Similar thing happened to my AP notice. I got all the notices properly including EAD. But my AP approval notice was sent back by USPS as undeliverable. USCIS sent the AP back to my lawyer along with USPS undeliverbale notice without any upate on the online status. Lawyer sent whole package back to me. I could see that address is correct. I have placed recepient names in the mail box long back so thats not the issue. USPS undeliverable notice was pasted on top of the returned mail. That was strange.
As I enquired further one of my friend wife FP notice also sent back like that , luckily his lawyer also got another one.

I am going to meet USPS personnel soon to find out what exactly the issue .


On October XX, 2007, the post office returned our last written notice on this case as undeliverable. This can have serious effects on the processing of this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update the mailing address so this notice can be re-sent.

I was shocked. I have emailed the company law firm and I'm awaiting response from them.... Have they mistyped their own address since that is supposed to go to them? Or USCIS is just pulling my legs?

Hi, I'm very tensed. I applied for H-1B under master CAP. I have finished all degree requirements including depositing PhD thesis. However, at the time of filing I could not wait for a letter from the registrar (it takes 5 business days).

So, I filed with a letter from my dept. The letter has the letterhead of the university and states that I completed all degree requirements and will graduate May 13th. It is signed by the dept associate dean.

Would that suffice? Could the petition be denied?

I have seen some denials but all for ppl who hasn't actually completed all requirements at the time of filing.

What if my employer does not respond at all.
Write him a letter explaining that you need to get paid for the 6 months. Send this letter visa registered mail. If he doesn't respond then file a complaint with DOL.

What are the chances for the extension? there must be some way.

There is no other way to solve this. You need to have pay stubs to extend your H-1B. Your best option is to find re-enter with an H-1B from another employer. Of course, you need to get a job first.

I work for company A. I found a project for myself with X through another company B. (The end client is X and the middleman is B. My company A has contract with company B NOT WITH company X (end client)

I have an offer from end client X and my company is in the process of suing me in Virginia as I have a non-compete agreement not to work for client/end client or client's end client.

Has anyone come across such situation. Please help me.

I work on hourly rates and don't get paid if I am on bench. Can this be used nullify the contract as this is not legal on H1.
